Recently we practice our geometric skills with some unusual material – toothpicks and chik-peas. How can you make 2 triangles from 5 toothpicks? What angles do you need to build a rhombus? And cube?
Children solve all these and many more questions about different 2D and 3D forms.
Of course our lesson includes the flight of imagination and after 15 minutes children feel themselves like an architects. A lot of helicopters, houses and ships appear on our tables.
Building from these simple thing captivated children all ages and even teachers.
P.S. No chick-pea were injured but half of it were eaten 🙂 (Anastasíia from our Ukrainian welcome class)
